7 Stars Electronics
The7 Stars Electronicsis an online store with gadgets, gaming, retro consoles, smartwatches and audio items. A highly competitive industry where visibility on Google makes all the difference.
The store sells to two markets with the same language but very different demand sizes. Greece has about nine times more searches than Cyprus, where we also workedIT e-shop Cyprus PC.
The first check gave a health score of 35/100. Before any content, the base had to be cleared.
01
86 of the 91 categories without a meta description and 57 with titles under 50 characters
02
2,245 pages of tags for about 1,100 products, which is more URLs than products
03
Category template with no H1 and no text, so categories that Google didn't understand
04
Blog articles without any link between them and two pairs of articles with the same intent
05
Competition from large e-shops and marketplaces in the gaming, audio and mobile categories
Our approach
Step 01
Score 35/100 → ten critical findings in a row
The audit looked at crawl, index, schema, speed and security on 3,617 URLs. He found Lorem Ipsum demo articles posted, 144 brand pages with canonical to individual products and broken feature sitemaps. Each finding was ranked according to how much it affects organic movement.
Step 02
Two markets → one word plan
The search for Greece and Cyprus yielded 157 keywords and overturned the original idea of putting "Cyprus" in every title. The categories with Greek demand, such as retro gaming, smartwatches and power banks, got purely Greek titles. "Cyprus" was entered only where the demand is Cypriot.
Step 03
932 pages → 932 unique metas
Ten main pages, 91 categories and 831 products in gaming, mobile accessories, audio, lighting and video got title and description from research by category. Because Yoast 27 stores category metas in three places, we built our own REST endpoint that writes to all three.
All 932 pages were checked live after upload.
Step 04
Categories without H1 → one snippet for all
Woodmart's shop template was not outputting H1 or description in any category. A snippet H1d them all and displayed their text. Retro Consoles, Handheld Consoles, Portable Speakers and Solar Projectors got an introduction and selection guide, with links to products and articles.
Step 05
Orphan articles → clusters with pillar
Tags were de-indexed, two pairs of like-minded articles were joined by 301 to the strongest, and the guide to the best retro consoles became a pillar. Each article got a "Read Also" block with the pillar, two related articles and the product category.
Links from article to article: from 0 to 49
Orphan articles: 0
R36S: one complete guide instead of two articles claiming the same word
